There was an on-campus recruitment drive for Solartis Technology Services Pvt Ltd., conducted in our campus on 27th Sept 2011. 108 Final Year Students of 3 Branches -- ECE, CSE, & IT It was on 13thSept 2011, attended the drive.
The Managing Director Sri Srinivasan Alagarsamyaddressed the students. With the help of powerpoints, he explained about his company – its genesis, its growth, its pay-structure, its business partnership with American companies, its expansionism, etc. Sri Jean Walter, HR Manager explained the various stages of selection process of the company – namely 1) Aptitude Test, 2) Technical Text, 3) Group Discussion, 4) Interview. Sri Eswaran, Admin Officer of the company took initiatives in the conduct of the selection tests – namely Aptitude Test, & Technical Test.
Of 108 students who sat for the Written Aptitude Test, only 28 students were able to clear it. And the shortlisted 28 students appeared for the Technical Test. The technical answer sheets were evaluated by two of the technical officers of the company – namely, Sri G. Gnanaguru, Development Team Leader, & Sri R. Athavan, Director, Software Development. Only 14 students were able to come out successful in the Technical Test. Then they constituted two groups out of the 14 students, and gave them topics for discussion. In the Group Discussion, only six students were assessed to be good. These students are P.D. Sharmili, ECE-B, S.S. Sabareesh, ECE-B, jERIN Verghese, ECE-A, M. Gurprasana, ECE-A, V.G. Santhoshi, CSE, & V. Divya, CSE. These 6 shortlisted students were asked to come to the company for an interview on 28th September between 2.00 p.m., and 4.00 p.m. In the interview that was held, only two came out successful – S.S. Sabareesh, ECE-B, & V. Divya, CSE.
